HIGPA Supports Hire Heroes USA with Contribution
at the 2007 International Expo
WASHINGTON DC (September 20, 2007) - This October, the Health Industry Group Purchasing Association (HIGPA) will present Hire Heroes USA with a $5,000 contribution at the 2007 HIGPA International Expo, co-hosted by the Healthcare Industry Supply Chain Institute (HISCI). The presentation will take place on Tuesday, October 23, 2007 during the evening general session with Terry McAuliffe and Pat Buchanan.
Hire Heroes USA, a scholarship program of the Health Careers Foundation, provides free employment placement services to disabled veterans. "By supporting Hire Heroes USA, HIGPA and its members are expressing their thanks to the men and women who have generously served in the armed services," states Curtis Rooney, President of HIGPA and HISCI.
The 2007 International Expo, this year located in Palm Desert, California from October 22-24, is HIGPA's annual conference dedicated to bringing together GPOs, IDNs, and vendors in an educational and networking setting aimed at improving the supply chain.
