HIGPA Chairman Responds to the "Holes" in Recent MDMA GPO Study

The ongoing debate about GPOs’ role in the healthcare supply chain and the issue of Safe Harbor continues to create dialog in the media. The August edition of Healthcare Purchasing News online features an article in their Up Close section titled "Vendor Group Fires Another Salvo at GPOs." The article takes a look at the assumptions and arguments raised in the study released last month by the MDMA. The study took aim at the GPO industry, particularly with regard to the issues of administrative fees and "safe harbor."
