(June 1, 2001) - The Health Industry Group Purchasing Association (HIGPA) is pleased to announce that it has redesigned its extensive web site-www.higpa.org-offering users increased functionality and ease-of-use though such new options as online conference registration, online download of HIGPA publications, and the availability for conference attendees to download copies of educational presentations. "HIGPA's web site now offers both association members and other individuals in the health care supply chain more readily accessible information and services that further HIGPA's goal of bring buyers and suppliers together to advance the future of the industry," said Robert Betz, Ph.D., HIGPA president and CEO. "The content on this improved web site will be an asset to both HIGPA's members and to the health care supply chain industry in general." Among the many new features available to all web site users are online conference registration, online viewing and download of association publication, and for conference attendees the ability to download copies of conference presentations. HIGPA members gain additional resources, through a redesigned and more user-friendly membership database, online viewing of HIGPA's newsletter-CapitoLine, and up-to-date information on legislative activities. HIGPA's trading partner members include many of the world's leading health care product and medical supply manufacturers, distributors, wholesalers and related suppliers.
