Executive Round Table Discussion:
How will the Health Care Purchasing Industry Evolve?

Senior executives from AmeriNet, Consorta, MedAssets HSCA, Premier and Novation will join trading partner executives in a roundtable discussion on issues that are paramount to the health care purchasing industry. The open discussion format will initially focus on four to six pre-determined topic areas. To ensure timely discussion, the final topic areas will be printed in the EXPO on-site program. Possible topic discussion areas include:
- Define the buy/sell marketplace.
- What impact do the current reimbursement procedures have on your 2004 business plan?
- Multi-sourcing contracts…where is the 'value' for trading partners?
- In this current business climate, how will your company establish/re-establish the 'relationship' with manufacturers/suppliers?
- What is the optimum 2004 strategy towards clinical/physician preference items?
- HIGPA adopted its Code of Conduct in July 2002. HIGPA's Industry Members certified compliance this spring. What is next?

HIGPA's Post-EXPO Purchasing Industry Workshop
HIGPA is pleased to announce the inaugural Purchasing Industry Workshop. This workshop is open to HIGPA member companies in good standing for the 2003 calendar year. The workshop will be limited to two representatives from each member company up to a maximum of 150 paid individuals.
The preliminary program format is designed to provide a fast-paced, high-intensity learning experience that is unparalleled in the purchasing industry. Each individual business enhancement workshop topic discussion will be created by the host group purchasing organization prior to the event. This information will be printed in the EXPO on-site brochure and posted on the HIGPA web site, www.higpa.org, by September 30, 2003. Don't miss this opportunity to interact and exchange ideas with leading purchasing executives.
