    General Information

    The Health Industry Group Purchasing Association cordially invites you to participate in its 2003 International EXPO! We have designed this year's program to tackle the health care supply chain industry's most timely and critical issues, as well as providing the networking event of the year. There are few changes in store for you for this year:

    • First, a general session was added for the afternoon of Tuesday, October 14.
    • Second, an additional educational opportunity is available during a special, post-EXPO Purchasing Industry workshop conducted on Wednesday, October 15, 2003. This workshop will be limited to the 150 HIGPA members.
    • Third, a new early bird EXPO registration that INCLUDES hotel accommodations for the evenings of Monday, October 13 and Tuesday, October 14, 2003.
    • Finally, the Word from Washington session will be held on the GPO Pavilion grounds on Wednesday, October 15.

    This year's EXPO will once again feature an "Industry-Hosted Member Reception" on Sunday, October 12, 2003 to increase your business-building opportunities.

    As always, the showcase of our program will be The GPO Pavilions which provide trading partner company executives the unparalleled opportunity to meet one-on-one with decision-makers from major health industry buying organizations. Individual GPO representatives from all product areas - pharmacy, medical/surgical, dietary, capital equipment, laboratory, alternate care - will be in their group's booth ready to meet with all trading partners who attend.

    Please join us in celebrating the establishment of the only association dedicated exclusively to health care purchasing, products, services and supply chain interests. No other organization can boast the same kind of commitment to networking, business-building opportunities and collaboration between purchasing alliances, providers, vendors, distributors, wholesalers, and manufacturers who operate in the health care industry.

    Who Should Attend

    The program is designed as a high-level summit meeting for health care executives, including Chief Executive Officers, Chief Operating Officers and Presidents. Other officials who will benefit from this unique program include:

    • Vice Presidents of Sales
    • Vice Presidents of Marketing
    • Vice Presidents of Corporate Accounts
    • Directors and Managers, National Accounts
    • Vice Presidents and Directors for all disciplines, including medical/surgical supplies, capital equipment, pharmacy, laboratory, alternate care, dietary, and integrated systems.

    HIGPA has two aims: (1) to provide a forum for extensive interactive networking between buyers, manufacturers and suppliers; and, (2) to increase knowledge through high-level dialogue on the critical issues faced by health care executives in today's challenging health care environment.

    Attire

    Business casual/resort attire is recommended.
